    No, but that is one of our most prevalent snakes in the South.  Hearing that rattling noise in the woods is akin to hearing a banjo on the river.   It means quietly exit.

    I know.  I watched a short film on youtube a while back about snakes which talked about that as well as possible importance of the snake in making medicines.  I don't know if that's the doc you watched or not.

    It is about a biologist who was bitten by one in an isolated region and managed to get to a medical facility. Quite harrowing.
