Discussion»Questions»Food and Drink» Do you think part of what makes an appetisizing dish is before what it taste like, the ability to tell what it is?
I agree. If I don't recognize what is on a plate, it is not appetizing and I will not put a bite of it into my mouth.

It's all about the plating .. you can make a tu*d sandwich look good and people will check it out.

Where do you come from? I've never going to tolerate another quip about English cuisine, ok? )

It's a Rochester NY thang. What it is is homefries and macaroni salad ( or baked beans if you choose) topped with two cheeseburgers or hot dogs ( red or white. white hot dogs being another Rochester NY thang) and doused in what is locally called 'hot sauce" which is made from ground beef, cayenne, cinnamon, cloves, slat, garlic, and pepper. Started by a place called Nick Tahou's ( they own the name actually) and traditionally served in Greek dinners. It looks like something the dog threw up and might not sound all that appetizing but the hot sauce ( which is actually kinda mild) elevates it to sheer deliciousness. Especially after you tied one on at the bar.
