Discussion»Questions»Death and Dying» Death in the family is very sad. So is the death of a country and of hope that things will get better. We grieve. What else can we do?
My hope has not died, because my trust is in God's kingdom. I know that human governments are all flawed and will not accomplish what only God can promise and deliver. (Titus 1:1,2)
Thank you for your reply Autumn. I live in the here and now. I do not put off anything until I'm dead and face whatever comes after. In that regard you and I are unalike m'dear. Happy Tuesday! :)
Rosie, I too do not put off anything until I die. by then nothing would matter. that's the difference between you and me i believe what the Bible says about the future of this planet and that the changes are coming in my lifetime. not when i die. though i do not make predictions about when exactly this will occur, (matthew24:36) the signs are too obvious that Jehovah'so day is near. (Zephaniah 1:14)for this reason what impacts the world has no bearing on how i feel. my faith in what the inspired word of God has recorded motivates me to not fear the future. as in noah's day that no one believed the end was near in part because of the influence of the wicked angels, so today people are influenced by certain so called experts that contradict the bible's teachings. especially the religious leaders are guilty of this and have confused many making them think they have to die and go to heaven to see a difference in their lives. Scripture teaches to pray for God's kingdom, so perfect conditions can be restored here on earth. (Matthew 6:9) have a nice day! :)
