America used to pride itself on having a free press as guaranteed by the First Amendment. Is PET more powerful than the Constitution?

PET fears the press. He hates the press. He reviles the press. They call him out and record him and analyze him and question him and report on his past activities.. He cannot stand up to that scrutiny so he will simply be unavailable to them .
