How important do you have to be for your murder to be called an assassination?

Drug dealers shot in the head at close range out back of a redneck biker bar were assassinated.  You don't have to have a particular standing in society.  We do consider those called assassins to be particularly dangerous, but a bullet in the head is a bullet in the head regardless of whose head it is.    This is Thrifty's own definition....not some amateur like Webster.
