Gingrich has been married 3 times. A record of two divorces/affairs. He left ill wives for his mistresses. In 1997 he was fined $300,000 and reprimanded by Congress for ethics violations . He is the first ever Speaker of the House to have been reprimanded. He was charged with using of tax-exempt organizations for political purposes and also for providing false information to the House Ethics Committee. He was pressured into resigning by his Republican colleagues which he did. He was carrying too much negative baggage. Is he now clean as a whistle? All prior history of what he is erased? Or is it just more looking the other way and pretending we don't see all the ugliness he represents?
