Friendship is a two-way street; you receive as much or as little as you give.
The purpose of any friendship would be mutual support to help both persons grow. This requires an open mind and a clean heart.
I hope for acceptance, without harsh judgement, of what I am, with my several warts and flaws, and the occasional blessing or strength, and I would do likewise.
I have restricted myself to friendship between humans, but I've seen several friendships between a human and a pet dog. The saying that "a dog is man's best friend" is absolutely spot on.
