Aretha Franklin is known as the "Queen of Soul". She just doesn't incorporate the title in her name. Others have been called the King or Queen of whatever art form at which they excelled. There was a director named "King" Vidor but that was even before my time. Any others you can think of to add to the distinguished royalty...American style? Duke Wayne, aka John comes to mind as well.
