The French Resistance during WW2 fought the Nazi occupation of France and the collaborationist Vichy government. GREAT IDEA wasn't it?

US had the Underground Railway which was a network of secret routes and safe houses used by slaves to escape to free states and Canada. They were aided by abolitionists and allies who were sympathetic to their cause. Underground Railway to fight the grave injustice/inhumanity of slavery. Worked.Makes for an inspiring  story doesn't it?  How those who didn't approve of what was being done to some of their fellow countrymen banded together to find a way to work against the tyranny and the tyrants.
