IMHO. Political correctness is what Orwell termed Newspeak. It's also a never ending cycle. What was the PC term yesterday, is the offensive term today. Mostly it's an attitude that free speech is an inconvenience and that there is somehow a right to never be offended or forced to question.
It's a form of coddling the the emotionally weakest members of society.
