He has been called a liar, charlatan, and mentally unstable. He was sued for fraud. Some/many of his statements about his life have been refuted and labeled fictitious. The "Church" disputes any suggestion that he lied about anything and the members revere him. His fantasy creation has separated families, damaged reputations, harmed people.
