Pet said he is a really smart guy and he doesn't need to be told the same thing every day. If something changes they can let him know. Wow. How smart is that? A guy who decides to opt out because he is so dam* smart! :( SIGH
Daily briefings are important, the reason they keep repeating the same thing over and over is because Obama requested it, because it took a few times before he understood what they said , everyone knows their limitations.
In your eyes I know PET can do no wrong. So no matter what the subject matter is or what he does/doesn't do it will be quite okay with you. Nothing he does is okay with me so we shall continue being on opposite sides of that issue. Thank you for your reply Tom.
Another insulting answer simply to take another shot at President Obama. Have you nothing else in your arsenal but cheap shots? Will you continue hating Obama until he or you die, whichever comes first? Will he be your personal perennial scapegoat forever? Inquiring minds wanna know these things. Thank you for your reply Tom.
While I would tend to agree that a President skipping daily intelligence briefings is a unwise idea, and Trump's reasoning is classic narcissism, we are operating on limited knowledge here.
We DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW what is discussed in daily intelligence briefings. If the bulk of them are "Francisco Franco is still dead" items then maybe daily intelligence briefings are not terribly critical or should at least be condensed to "This is what's different today."
Of course, I don't for a moment trust Der Pumpkinfuhrer's assurances that his alleged smarts are sufficient to make such briefings moot.
Mahalo for your reply OS. Apparently PET has delegated that job to Mike Pence who makes room for almost-daily intelligence briefings or so I've read. If I am going to be president of the United States I want all the information I can get 24/7. President Obama requested MORE THAN one daily briefing. He was always available for intelligence briefings. That is an intelligent thing to do in my opinion. Nothing PET does is intelligent in my opinion. His arrogance is beyond endurance and beyond belief. That arrogance does not bode well for we the people or our country or the world. More's the pity. :(
@Karen -- I cannot claim authorship of the term. I read it somewhere and decided it's going to be my...ahem, "pet" name for President-Elect Trump for the time being.
I ask the questions that occur to me Ozgirl. I don't edit them. I think perhaps someone out there may share my concerns and would appreciate a chance to weigh in with his/her thoughts.
