How far will PET go? Where will he draw the line? He has no line. He knows his peeps will support whatever he does/says. Why?

My feeling is that he knows he can count on them because he managed to fool them in the first place so this indicates they are a) easily led and b) erm stupid aka not very bright.. so he fooled them once - he thinks he can keep on doing so.. and he probably can but eventually they will wake up
