I had a housekeeper for many years. She also had worked for inlaws since my husband was a baby. She was part of the family for sure.
I rarely used help for house projects until my last total gut/renovation project. It went pretty smoothly but I had to be on site because their ideas about how to do some things did not agree with mine. The big thing is that my contractor is licensed as a builder, electrician, plumber, and HVAC. He used no subs. That is such a plus!
