Charlie was the Inauguration Announcer for Republican Presidents and Democratic Presidents since Ike asked him to take on the job.It was a tradition! Sadly Charlie lost his wife of 65 years in December 2016 so he really threw himself into preparing for this year's gig to assuage his grief at losing her. But he has been replaced. His replacement is a guy named Steve Ray. No need to tell you that he is a Trump supporter and we suppose this is Steve's reward for being a Trumpeter. At the expense of tradition and the heartbreak of another human being. So what, right? Time to move on. Screw feelings. Screw empathy. Screw tradition. Out with the old. In with the new. Isn't it gonna be fun to see what other hearts/traditions are broken? Dancing in the streets to the beat of the Trumpet. Hey hey hey. :(
