My husband and I have been commenting on that all week. I truly believe Mr. Obama is a decent human being and has all the qualities that the man coming in, does not have.
It will be interesting to see how history records all this. I feel like we are living through something that is going to have major implications on the future of our country. I just hope I am so wrong about this sick feeling I have in my gut.
Agreed ... I am no expert on US politics as you know, I don't know the ins and outs and details but I can tell you how they both come across. Obama comes across as a decent man, a man who cares, who has principles - a man who wants the best for his country and all, as in ALL the people in it.. Trump comes across as the opposite - a man who is entirely selfish, concerned with his own wants and ego, a man who cares about nothing apart from himself, a man who is a bully and isn't interested in the welfare of most of the people in the country. And the opposite of decent.. Trump seems unprincipled and unpredictable.
His track record with his personal life is abysmal. I don't envision Trump trying to even lead a Christian life which the Bible asks of us if we claim to be believers.
Trump also plans to enrich himself at the trough of foreign countries and the all the sotto voce backroom closed door deals he will do for himself in the dark of night while he sucks up to Putin without restraint. We shall be known as "Little Russia" very soon if we aren't already. Isn't that wunnerful? Thank you for your reply Sharonna and Happy Sunday! :)
