    You mean a constant threat but nothing ever happens? Did the sword above Damocles' head ever fall? Is Russia the sword swinging over The Donald? What info does Putin have on Trump that causes Trump to behave like an obedient little boy? One wonders. Thank you for your reply Didge and Happy Tuesday. Are you watching the Australian Open perchance? Our favorite Roger Federer made it  through the first round. He is seeded 17! Imagine that! I hope he does well. :)

  • Damocles only had to sit under that sword for a single day; Trump faces four years of it. No, the sword doesn't symbolise Russia, to my mind it symbolises his total ineptitude for the job and his rampant self-interest. It'll fall for sure, and will come in the form of impeachment. 

    I know his win has created a great division in the US but outside your borders there is consensus. Virtually nobody thinks Trump's presidency can result in anything except problems for the world generally and for the US in particular. The man is a self-interested buffoon whose major beneficiaries will be the world's cartoonists. 

    But, if you'll forgive me, I don't want to keep beating on the anti-Trump drum. I wanted to make it clear where I stood but I'd rather not get involved in Trump-bashing. Hope you understand.  This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at January 17, 2017 12:45 PM MST
