    Have always associated that song with going to sleep.
    But they played well

  • I once did the all night program on a community radio station. One of the regulars called in and said he was about to go to bed. So I sang him a lullaby. He rang back and said, "How the heck do you expect me to sleep if I've got to worry about the bough breaking and letting me fall?" 

    He was probably right. It's just as well little kids don't understand the words.
