Discussion»Questions»Life and Society» Is it ironic that protestors usually only end up disrupting the lives of the poor going to work -- the very people they want to help?
They're not doing that to help the poor, they're doing that in order to prop up the political party that says they'll help the poor. Then after they get their cut, the poor get the scraps. Just like always.
Aye, indeed but then again the poor are disrupted more so than others by the occasional rain. It is their plight. It sucks to be poor.

I don't think it's typical of protesters that they want to help anybody. It's more likely that they're trying to add some excitement to colourless lives. I've seen the same thing happen with trades unionists who enjoy striking because it lifts them out of the humdrum.
The ones protesting Trump have no idea what they are protesting about, he hasn't done anything to protest about. I guess ignorance is bliss they haven't a clue.
Not so much hacking as linking. You don't have to persuade those who already share your views.

Take Ferguson, Mo, for example.. It used to be, that when a cop killed an unarmed black man there, the district attorney, who COULD levy charges himself, instead sent these cases to the grand jury where he could quash them.. Then, when he faced the press, he could shrug his shoulders and say, the people have spoken.
But, then the people RIOTED...
SINCE those RIOTS, the district attorney, very quietly announced that they won't DO that anymore.. Now, you can SAY that change was coming anyway. Or you can say the RIOTS did it.
