I haven't read any facts on any marches yet but N.A.T.O. is pretty much a paper tiger. About the only country that would keep it's NATO promises would be Poland. I haven't seen or heard much of any others protesting or even helping other countries as most have their head stuck in the sand.
NATO is just a relic that outlived it's purpose. Fact is it should have been disbanded when the USSR fell as it's sole purpose was to avoid attack from the Soviets. When the Warsaw nations disbanded, so to should have NATO IMHO. The fact NATO tried to reinvent itself in face of it not having any need or real purpose anymore after is kinda what pushed Russia into what it has become now. Sadly it may be too late now as NATO has seemed to create a threat it now needs to stand against. Still all the indicators point to continued NATO alliance being the source of the current Russian aggression.
You're right about it though. NATO hasn't been of any benefit to us.
