What do you know about meerkats? Is there a more entertaining animal on the planet?

  • Only what I've watched about them on Animal Planet. Quite the little family life they have.

  • Enjoyed the video. They must have a few problems when those tunnels collapse, or maybe they're better engineers than we are.

  • They had quite the series about them on Animal Planet. Cute but very protective creatures.

I regret not ever watching that show. Maybe it's on Netflix or Hulu. This post was edited by Zack at January 31, 2017 5:08 PM MST

  • You're a monster, Flo. No wonder your ex said all those horrible things about you. I'll bet every one of them was true. >:-(

  • Alf, that was absolutely brilliant. Thanks for posting it. I'd have paid it on "How does a wolf go?" if there'd been nothing else worth listening to. How the heck did she train it that well?

  • I don't know much about their training. I saw my first Mynah bird show in high school.
The trainer had eight of them on stage and the show was amazing!

  • On a related subject ... Ok, the relationship is tenuous ... One great expression I heard is "prairie dogging" ... It happens in with those stupid cubicles (cube farms)  when someone drops something or yells out ... Every one stands up in their cubicle to look over the tops and see what happened ... It looks like a meerkats watching over their terrain
I did say it was tenuous lol

  • That's a very apt parallel, Ozgirl. I wouldn't have thought of it like that but you described it perfectly. That's comical. :)

  • Me too. It'd be a sad person who didn't like them.
