Hello again, Rosie:
Pardon me for answering twice, but I have another observation.. While I have NO problem with religion, I have a HUGE problem with ORGANIZED religion.. By the same token, I have NO problem with politics. But, I have a HUGE problem with ORGANIZED politics.
I guess I'm kinda like Trump in that regard, huh?

Yes I am sure I vote with the party I agree with the most. I have looked at the positions on the issues and compared my opinions and the party platforms.
If you are not sure you should take the www.isidewith.com quiz. After you take the quiz it will tell which candidate matches up best and then click on PARTY. It will tell you which party you agree with the most based on you answers. Be sure to mark which issues are more important to you it will affect your results.
I am 87% Republican.

I do not conform to either the right or the left.. That gives me the freedom to stand where i want on any given issue..
I clicked on your site but i could not see where the questionnaire was...
Well I am affiliated with the Democratic Party and have been my entire adult life. My parents were Dems excon. My kid is a Dem. But here's what floored me. Because an Answermugger who is not an American told me she belonged to the Green Party I checked my primary sample ballot and saw that it consisted of Republican /Democrat/Libertarian/Green/American Independent/Peace&Freedom. I investigated the platforms of the Green Party and the Peace&Freedom party and to my surprise I am more them than I am a Dem. I was shocked! I mean I am 78 years old and I should have done this decades ago but I didn't. I wasn't curious enough. Thank you for your reply excon and Happy Saturday! :)

The American Independent party is all about God so I reject that. I believe in separation of church and state. I know what the Republican platform is and the Democratic platform and the Libertarian platform. It never occurred to me to check out the other two. It should have but it didn't. I doubt that you are like Trump in any way excon. I know we differ when it comes to lists and privacy and etcetera and so forth. It doesn't matter. You have your reasons and I guess I have mine. I figure if I have nothing to hide (to my knowledge I don't) then invading my privacy can't possibly harm me. I am tired of hearing the slippery slope argument. If someone reads any of my emails or internet activity or listens in on conversations I don't think I'm gonna charged with a crime or tossed into jail. It doesn't bother me . Others are very bothered and get very upset because of the principle and a belief in the right to privacy. But where does one find privacy these days excon? Realistically probably every word we utter and every action we take is being monitored by someone somewhere. So what? I'm not colluding with anyone to overthrow the government. I'm not planning to shoot or bomb or threaten anyone for any reason. I love my country despite its multiple flaws.

So what exactly do I have to fear? Thank you for your reply my dear! :)
Remember m2c I already took the quiz. Thank you for your reply. As I told you yesterday I find to my surprise I am much more Green Party or Peace&Freedom than anything else. I don't like the American Independent party because it all about God and I don't want religion mixed into politics. :)

Just curious.
If you imagined America with politics that had no organisation, what kind of government would it be, and how would that affect the lives of its citizens?
Hi Rosie, Maybe there should be another party, the "Republicrats" or "Demoblicans" Seriously though, that's a really good question. If I liked the Democrat's ideas and had a feeling that they were somewhat on the up & up, and I didn't like the Rep. candidate, I'd vote Dem. and vise a versa if I liked the Rep. candidate, I'd vote Rep. being loyal to a party as a whole is terrible for the country, it allows people in office because of affiliation instead of their merit.

Hi BSurf. The reason I checked things out was that an Answermugger friend who is not an American told me she belongs to the Green Party. My primary sample ballot listed Republican/Democrat/Libertarian/American Independent/Green and Peace&Freedom parties. I investigated American Independent, Green and Peace&Freedom and discovered I am much more a Green Party or Peace &Freedom party person than I am a Democrat. Who knew? Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

I don't know how politics can be organization-free hartfire. Can you clarify what you mean? If you're asking what kind of country would I like America to be I would like it to be free of neocons, racists, bigots, hatemongers, misogyniss and rigidly religious folks who think everyone should believe as they do and they pass legislation when they can get away with it incorporating religion. I'd like all of them gone. In their place I would like a nation that is engaged in diplomacy, the good of the people worldwide and a willingness/ability to acknowledge that it doesn't have all the answers so it would dialogue with all countries. I would like a lack of ego and a desire to serve and to
make life better for all . I would like funding to be focused on healthcare/education/infrastructure...peaceful things that improve the lives of the people. I would like science and technology to be focused on wiping out disease, not creating a newer/bigger/fiercer war machine. I would like truth and honor to prevail. I know. Impossible dream. Thank you for asking hartfire.
You questioned everything, but that?!?!? That should be one of the first things you question. Were you concentrating on important things like "did I eat the right thing for breakfast" or "maybe I should have worn the other shirt"?
So deep.
They measure me as a
"""Centrist
Your political beliefs would be considered Centrist on an ideological scale."""
And they said i would most likely support a guy named Gary Johnson ??? Never heard of him.. he is a Libertarian... 83%
And the bottom of the list was Gill Stein a Green on 34%

Hello h:
That's a very good question.. Lemme put it this way.. I have no problem with organized politics, per se. They're just not right for ME. I'm NOT a follower. I HATE dogma. I PREFER being on the outside.

Sorry if my comment seemed confusing. I was responding to excon's comment about preferring no organisation in government at all. I was wondering what he meant and how it might be possible - because I can't imagine it - unless we all went back to being hunter-gatherers in tribes on a much less populated planet.
Next time I make a reply like that, I'll make a point of naming the person I'm replying to.
I liked your response to my apparent nonsense. It gets right to the heart of what I see as the most important values in how we can live. Thank you. :)
I have never BEEN with a political party UNTIL now. Meaning I am against TRUMP. So that made my choice real easy.
I am voting Democratic because it is the only ticket. It is do or die. Hillary is NOT DONALD TRUMP. Pathetic? SURE. BUT? It is all we have to cling to in desperate times.
Sad ain't it? Thank you for your reply Sharonna.
