What is expected, is people to try to have an open dialog and not bunch of children throwing a temper tantrum because they don't agree. If you want change, act like and an adult and use your words. Setting things on fire just shows there is no reasoning with you. As a person who is neither right or left wing, but a person of common sense and maturity, I know there needs to be communication and compromise. All the political extremist from both sides need to grow up.

Civility.  Progressives have forgotten about that.  They are in mob mentality and completely out of control.  I'm sure........I know some have a level head and aren't part of it but the world knows now that the Democrats (which is incorrect but the world makes no distinction between real Democrats and the progressives) are whining idiots.  When you see Portland arresting them, you know they are out of control.

Liberalism, in its truest sense would not try to silence anyone.

Berkley may be predominately liberal, but the speech was sold out.  Is silencing the minority justified as long as you are in the majority, Rosie?  I find it odd that those who fight for the rights of so many minorities can somehow justify this in their own minds.

If they had simply assembled to show their disagreement with what the speaker would have been saying, that would have been fine.  But to try and prevent him from speaking at all, and the violence are both uncalled for and antithetical to their stated beliefs.

It was a Breitbart person Bozette. If you know anything about Breitbart then you would understand why folks there at Berkeley were incensed.  SIGH. Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday. If you are a  Breitbart fan and love that the racist Steve Bannon is now running the country then you should be very happy. I am not. Different strokes.

I am well aware of who was scheduled to speak.  Again, how is silencing others justified?
