President Trump did NOT threaten to send troops to Mexico.
President Trump offered to HELP Mexico with their drug cartels.

CNN obtained a transcript of the conversation of the talk, which happened last Friday.

“You have some pretty tough hombres in Mexico that you may need help with. We are willing to help with that big-league, but they have be knocked out and you have not done a good job knocking them out,” he said.

Where the hell do we come off to sending our troops to fight drug cartels in Mexico?  How is this Constitutional?

This would simply expand what they are already doing.

They have been working with Mexico since at least 2012 to fight the drug cartels.

The article you link points out that American boots on the ground in Mexico is unconstitutional, so why is Trump, a supposed adherent to the Constitution, talking about sending our military there?

The Cartels should be treated as any enemy, they are spreading poison all over for stupid people to take.

We have spent billions of dollars on the war on drugs which has been totally ineffective since drug use goes up every year.  The solution is to decriminalize it, have the government sell it and take the profit away from the cartels.  If people are stupid enough to get hooked on drugs and make no attempt to get help, then what happens to them is on them - not on me.

That just might be the solution, we might  as well make it legal and let the stupid druggies pay for the wall.
