"The contributions of Frederick Douglass will become more and more".Since Douglass is dead does he contribute more and more from the grave?

The Donald said Douglass' contributions would become "more and more". Sean Spicer was asked what that meant and he said the same thing as his boss said. Which means what exactly? Can anyone translate what  they mean? How can anyone contribute more and more of anything while dead?
