It's some hours since any questions were asked. Do you go away and return later? Do you ask a question or two yourself? Do you play Solitaire until something happens? Or do you visit your favourite news site to see who's doing what and to whom?
I haven't been active here for a while and only recently returned. But when it's like that, I leave. I wish the groups were more active, I'd post there more.
Hi Lavender. We were discussing the groups last week. Apparently they were a carry-over from a previous site and the people who wanted them there either don't use them here or aren't visiting here. I tried to get one going but no luck at all. I don't think it's that kind of site.
The big differences between how the group works here and how it worked at EP is basically how the posts are featured. I've been thinking a bit about it, and also why we had such drama drop in activities inside the AdultMug and Free-for-all. At EP Posts inside groups had their own board just like questions. I don't think it's just the uses, but also how easy they are accessed, and how easy we see the activities inside the groups. AdM and FFA are great examples, before we got to aM v.2.0 both groups were accessible from the drop down button with questions in the blue top band (just like statements still is). Now you got to go to my groups and next find the group you want to look up, that's not making it easier promoting any group. Basically what I'm saying it's within the site layout, which wasn't created such way to promote groups, whereas EP was originally built around groups, and the Q&A section was an add on, but given same prominence as the groups. That said, questions was more active and popular at EP too, at least the last couple of years EP was running.
That explains a lot. I find it confusing trying to navigate around the Diversity group. It's hard to find the most recent posts. I tried the Adult group during my first brief stay on aM but seem to remember that whenever anybody posted there I'd get a notification. They were smothering the things I was interesting in tracking, so I dropped out.
I think with the groups you'll keep getting notificaton all new stuff as long as you didn't make a reply, or post yourself. I've experineced this myself with a few groups I joined recently.
I go into a state of animated suspension. Or is it suspended animation? One of the two. Where time stops and space wraps into itself. Or I play chess, or my guitar,. . .or something.

Animated suspension would probably get you in all kinds of tangled situations -- like getting your knickers in a knot. Or, as the young lady who wanted to keep warm in the winter did, getting her knockers in a knit.
Either I'll post questions, replies/comments, or chat with friends. If none is here, and I looked updates through, and furthermore do not have anything I want to post, then I'd do some other stuff and look inside again at a later point.
