Are all football players specialists or do some have the ability to play multiple positions equally well? Any you can name?

  • Some are specialists like the Kickers but many can play different positions as needed by the Coaches. Too many to name here but I put this link to a page of great players who switched positions from their College days to the transition to Pro NFL players. Mainly defensive players seem to have multi-talents and are capable of playing different positions. Kickers and Quarterbacks generally are the specialists as you call them.
