Of what value is understanding if nothing comes from it?

    Changes in thinking/speaking/acting. If you understand then you can be better, do better. If you do neither then what is the point of the understanding? Isn't it wasted if it doesn't change you for the better? Thank you for your reply whistle and Happy Thursday. Did I answer your question?

  • Ah. Then it depends on what one is understanding. One may understand say, the lunar cycle but no self improvement comes of it. Still the understanding is valuable for itself.

    It should also improve one's actions and words. Understanding should make us better than we were before. If it  doesn't wasn't it wasted? Thank you for your reply Ele!  :)
