Should we replace walking sticks with pogo sticks for the elderly?

Today I saw an old man, clearly exhausted, leaning on his stick as he recovered his strength. I wondered if a solar-powered pogo stick would make life easier for him. What do you think? What restrictions would be needed to prevent other pedestrians being knocked down by out of control oldies?

  • It's OK, Glis. We have a klutz model. It comes with training wheels.

  • I don't care about restrictions, I want to see pogo-ing olds. Those mobility chairs can get up some speed after all. There have been many a prosecution for speeding offences on pavements. Pavements! Get them on the road.

  • Durn tootin, Lucia. Mind you, an out of control pogo stick might do as much damage as a geriatric scooter.
