What is your favorite "big cat"?

    Well, tigers aren't so bad, I guess, but I hate SUMATRAN tigers.
    Well Sumatran tigers aren't so bad, I guess, but I hate Sumatran tigresses.

    I was at Mogo Zoo, about 300 km south of Sydney, standing outside the tiger enclosure, camera in hand, getting read to photograph this whopping, great Sumatran tigress when she posed nicely. She looked at me and rose to her feet and I thought, "Bloody beauty, she's gonna do something." (Australians think like that.) Then she turned her back to me and lifted her tail. Just when I realised that she was thinking, "I'm gonna hit that bleeding tourist right between the eyes," (Tigers think like that) she aimed a stream at me. I dived to one side, saved the camera, but copped it all down one arm. Every time I walked past an animal enclosure for the rest of the day I could see the inmates looking at me with some misgivings. 

    So that's why I hate Sumatran tigresses.
