Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster the new National Security Advisor. He wrote book called Derelection of Duty. Has Donald read it?

McMaster is his own man. He doesn't put up with fools. He says what he thinks and he criticizes those he believes are wrong and he does not roll over for anyone. If The Donald didn't know he had better not test the guy. If/when he does he will probably replace him since The Donald cannot tolerate anyone who criticizes him. This is a test Donald. You picked one of the Good Guys. Can you stand to let him be good or will you try to take him down? We are watching you. What will you do when the time comes that McMaster tells you "NO"?

Trump finally brought some sanity to the white house.
The question is, how long will he last?

I know Lulu'sMom! McMaster is one very impressive solid brilliant guy! I had never heard of him before but did a little research. I like everything I hear/have read so far so let's see how long The Donald can stand someone standing up to him and speaking out. Mattis said we are not in Iraq to take oil. Pence said America will provide unwavering support for NATO. If McMaster holds true to form he will be contradicting The Donald too. Fingers crossed! Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday to you m'dear! :)

  • It's too soon to know how this is all going to unfold.  All Trump has to do is surround himself with wise people and if, if he listens to them then he'll do well.

This guy seems like a real winner to me Yogafan. He is no-nonsense and I heard people refer to him as someone who tells truth to power which I guess means he says what he thinks and no one intimidates or silences him.  I'm actually quite surprised at the pick and happily so which is more than I can say for most of the others. But Mattis seems pretty dam* good so far. When he said we are not going to take Iraq's oil I felt good. When Pence said America will give unwavering support to NATO I felt good. What happens from that moving forward only time will tell but honestly I have a little hope now. I knew nothing about McMaster until now and then I did some investigating. He got passed over for a promotion because he spoke out and spoke up and criticized his superiors for their decisions. That really impressed me since in the military I guess you're not supposed to question authority. Thank you for your reply and Happy Wednesday! :) This post was edited by RosieG at February 22, 2017 2:35 AM MST
