  • Yes, many times when I was in S.E. Asia and a couple of times since but only in self defense. It's the way I was taught and the way I believe.

    Does planning out a direct hit on the huevos rancheros count? I have found it useful a few times, helping even things out a bit.

  • No, I have never needed to use it outside the dojo. I hope I never need to do so. I can if it is needed of course. I am not in areas where fights are likely to occur very often.
