Well Obama certainly didn't.  The insurance companies have been withdrawing from Obamacare at an alarming rate.  Those people who are screaming that they've been covered by Obamacare and now they're worried should be taking into consideration that Obamacare is collapsing of it's own accord.

Some countries do have government controlled health care which is good and some bad but many from these countries have ended up in the US to avoid long waiting lists and sometimes treatment options that are not available to them in their own countries.

I experienced very good health care in France and Germany, terrible experiences in England.  In France the wealthy French still prefer to go privately though.
