My dog finds your question offensive. We don't speak about cats in her presence.

Own? ... yes, I'd say so.

I had cats for years and I found that like people there were the snooty ones and the sweetheart ones some definitely felt they owned me but the last one I had absolutely adored me and it was mutual, he would have been happy if I'd found a way to attach him to myself.  I still miss him every day, he'll be waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge.
