You spend 8 years working on massive advances. Your successor comes in and with one blow destroys all you did. How do you deal with it?

    It would be like if I redecorated my house to sell and the new owners came in and painted the walls black and threw out all the new furniture and appliances and bought crap from the thrift store.
    I may not own the house anymore but it would hurt me to see all the work I put in it destroyed.
