In Anne Caffrey's Perrn series..., Lessa, Ramoth's rider.  An intelligent, passionate, brave woman.

  • A great character -- resourceful, courageous but a bit temperamental. I liked Menolly better. :)

  • Excellent image. I'll share that with Mrs D. (She's the one who got me interested in Pern.)

  • I never saw/read Wonder Woman. She sure looked good, though.

  • Comics did NOT look like than when I was growing up. Maybe I should revisit them. :)

I'm no longer a hardcore comic reader. These days, I can't even tell anymore. Give it a try.

  • Hi Dozy,
About a year ago, on Turner Classic Movies I watched LILITH, with Jean Seberg and Warren Beatty, also Peter Fonda. Well it was intriguing enough to follow up reading the 1961 novel by J.R. Salamanca, and then Lilith really came to life for me.

So for the moment, Lilith for me holds that place as favourite female character from a book; I have read a few books where the experience of madness is so utterly well done, just draws you in...and that is the most recent.

  • Interesting choice, Virginia, but I was sure yours would be. Thanks for answering.
