Dozy, I had not heard of Eve Dallas...from Google, is she the character in a series of Nora Roberts romance-mystery novels? So is this the author speaking, or is it a traumatized, disturbed story heroine?

The quote comes from the character and is totally in keeping with a kick-ass cynic. And while Eve isn't normally traumatised (she prefers to traumatise the bad guys) she does have a lot of weird dreams and some of those mst definitely leave her feeling shaky.
