    Looks interesting.  If I liked opera, I might find a reason to go.

  • I don't pay much attention to the Met's productions (I follow the SF Opera, however), though I'm glad to see that it is set in the time it takes place. I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to opera. Modern productions that attempt to "contemporize" old operas come off as vulgar and embarrassing to me.

    I enjoy symphony more than opera...however, the trailer makes this production sound very intriguing...yes, I would like to see it.
