For 8 years nothing but obstruction. Obstruct back?
Why isn't turnabout fair play? Why not do unto others as they did unto you? If they treated you like crap why on earth would you treat them kindy/fairly/logically/cordially? Why do they deserve better from you than they gave to you?
An eye for an eye? Tempting, right? How do we want it in four, eight, twelve, sixteen years from now... still polarised politicians not looking for cooperation to achieve results for the benefit of citizens? Hmm.
I am not, Rosie. But I tend to look on things comparing short term wins with long terms. Results is far better than symbolic speaking. Happy Tuesday. :-)
What results can there be from obstruction but failure SH? What results would there be to compare? There is no short-term win or long-term anything. Obstructing stops something from ever happening. Now if your point is that maybe that something would have been injurious then obstruction would definitely be a good thing. Of course then you get down to the matter of who decides what is beneficial and what is injurious. It is complicated. Thank you for the clarification. Once you have results and thus something to compare then your point is well taken. :)

Did I say anything about obstructing per definition being a good policy?
It should be based on aims and results, obstructing or not. Doing it per bias won't give you any results. As what's beneficial and not, it will/should be all that matters, and will most times depend on ideologies (if any politician still got any of those). Hmm.
Stands for me reflecting. Ignore. Should not mean anything to you. Sorry if it bothers you. Is like I use yus, mhmm, and probably a few others all depending on which reply/comment I do. There...
Thanks. I get nothing out of it and it is good to know it is not for me but for you. Thanks for the clarification! When I don't understand something I always ask. I prefer not to assume! :)
It's warranted and justified but at the same time all those Dems who were always saying " stalling is not governing " need to eat their humble pie over those words. No more saying the others are at fault either. Many Dems been pissing and moaning about obstruction for years and how it needs to be systematically banned. Now they get to see why they were dead wrong about it all those years and why it's a necessary pain to have around.
If the bills are so egregious to the ideals they feel they were elected to represent then by all means stall them. If it's stalling purely on tit-for-tat and because they don't want any compromise then screw them. Goes both ways too. This isn't a freaking game god damn it.
