I can't imagine why they would do this unless someone is making money off it.  Happy Wednesday, Rosie. :)

I think that's exactly what would happen. Why else invade/intrude/take away privacy? I think it allows folks to track everywhere you visit on the internet...your browser history! Thank you for your reply Spunky and Happy Thursday! :)

We are already being tracked both by the government and businesses.  In effect, this law would be fairly useless.  Happy Thursday. :)

I know and just when you think something is real, Trump tells you it's fake news. :)

Yep. Google, Facebook etc all make money selling our data. That is why they are free for us to use, we are the product. This law that was repealed actually protects them from competition. The law also Never went into effect.

After reading up on it. This law changes nothing. It is getting rid of a regulation that was passed in October 2016...That NEVER went into effect.

The law actually protects the larger companies like Google, Facebook etc from competition from smaller ISPs. In fact the regulation that the regulation passed in October 2016 did not apply to Google etc.
This just makes it where all the data sellers (Google, Facebook, website, ISPs etc) on the same rules.

There is a reason Google, Facebook etc are free, because they are already doing it. We are the product Google sells.  There is a reason when you view  a product it is suddenly in your email and in ads on sites. It is already happening and the law would not have stopped it. It puts them all under the same laws....Why do we want laws that protect the big guys from fair competition?

Good Question. Why do we want to take  $80 billion away from the poor in terms of social service programs gut cuts and give it to the wealthy as tax cuts?  Thank you for your reply m2c! :)

I think we should do things to improve the economy so the poor don't need to rely on the government for help. And yes that does include tax cuts. My taxes cannot be cut any farther...I pay 0% income tax.
