    My wife bought me a Bose wave radio with a 5 disc cd changer. She didn't realize I don't listen to cds so I have never used the changer.

    Well i am hoping i have picked a good gift and the other person will love it and use it.. But i do not ""expect"" them to love and use it.. Nothing should be forced..

    Yes i have received gifts i have never used because they where totally impractical..

    OMG Ele! Bose? Top of the line!  Well ya gotta give her credit for not being a cheapskate! There was a Bose outlet store at the Cabazon Desert Hills mall years ago. I don't know if it is still there. Jim and I went in and listened to some of the sound systems they had for  sale. Is there anything better  sound-wise than Bose?  Thank you for your answer!  :)

    I guess the folks who gift  you with alcohol are acquaintances, not friends. As for plants. I feel your pain. I kill all of them. Not purposely but I have brown thumbs. Those who know me KNOW I kill plants so they would NEVER sacrifice a plant that way. Thank you for your reply Nicko!
