Is there a miliitary solution to Syria? What?

  • Yes...Nuke Russia

No...But really. There solution lies with the US and the world. We need to recognize this is not about human lives or world peace. It is about OIL.
I lined up the ducks a while back, but for those who may have missed it...

    • The US has been trying to change the Syrian Regime for over 50 years
    • Syria is strategic to Russia because it provides a foothold into the Middle East and a warm water port
    • Saudi Arabia & Qatar want to put an oil pipeline through Syria to supply the EU market
    • Russia is presently the major supplier of Natural gas and Oil to the EU.
    • An oil pipeline through Syria would reduce EU dependence on Russia and lessen their influence
    • Trump has long supported invading countries and stripping them of their natural resources
    • Trump appointed Rex Tillerson (CEO) of Mobil/Exxon as Secretary of State
    • Other nations with no natural resources have committed much greater atrocities with little or no military consequences
    • Trump has engaged in eradicating all efforts to battle Climate change which are contradictory to the agenda of the Fossil fuel industry ESPECIALLY Big Oil

You wanna stop the war, then you need to cut the head off the snake, reduce the global dependency on big oil and remove the politicians who are watching out for the interests of these merchants of death This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at April 13, 2017 10:33 AM MDT

This is an AWESOMELY thoughtful, responsive, informative and helpful reply JG. How do you KNOW all this stuff ?  Boy you surely laid it out clearly and coherently. So. Once again it's all about oil. I wondered why Trump didn't get all verklempt about all the other horrors affecting babies going on in all the other countries. I guess he wasn't watching TV or Ivanka didn't tell him what to do OR those countries have no oil. I keep thinking Trump can't possibly keep getting awfuller and awfuller. I  keep being wrong. He can and does. :( Thank you for your reply JB. I sure learn a lot from you for which I thank you! :)

  • There are a lot of news articles on this, Rosie... If you take the time to research every single bullet item I mentioned, you'll find everything I said individually is the true. Then you lay all those pieces on a table...the puzzle starts to come together.

This is the big problem today with spontaneous news. People don't look at the big picture and past events. I cannot stress the importance of not allowing the use of "Alternative facts" because they are purposeful in their attempt.

Look deeper... Trump is nothing more than one more in a line of tools driven by profit and cash and sadly...that also includes Obama.
He increased the military budget by over $54 billion and is slashing social benefits. Who does that really benefit? the common man or the super-wealthy?
The war machine reaps the fruits of society while education & healthcare flounder. Why? To keep us ignorant and dependent on the corporate-sponsored governments and what they are doing.

This is no grand conspiracy...It's a fact.   This is why predatory capitalism is the greatest evil known to man. It used to be
organized religion.  Religion has been reduced to a tool used to achieve results.

Though for the day:  If you want to know who rules you, think about who you aren't allowed to criticize

Thank you for another very thoughtful, helpful, useful and informative analysis JG. You know about whom I thought  as I read this? Ike. Remember years ago he warned us about the Military Industrial Complex. He was clearly ahead of his time. Per your words..."the puzzle starts to come together". Some of us are better are fitting the pieces in their appropriate places to get a clear picture. Others are not so adept and so they force fit/distort/jam the pieces into an incomprehensible/reprehensible mess! SIGH. I sigh an awful lot lately. I guess sighing is easier on me than crying. :(

  • Meh...I don't deserve any credit for a personality flaw of mine. I'm not always so detailed-oriented so I do see the forest...

That's the key...Don't always focus on the details because when it comes to politics, they are more often fluffy distractions .

Don't cry...you need a distraction. Think of it as a big rubic cube or better still, a game of tetris :)

I play a Scrabble-like game on the computer (offline) called Bespelled! It is addictive if you love words as I do. I get lost in it so it is a good escape. I know what a Rubic's cube is. Never mastered it! I have heard of Tetris but I don't know what it is. I will Google it. It sounds very over my head. On Star Trek (the TV show)  years ago they used to play 3-dimensional chess! Regular chess is difficult enough. Is there such a thing in the real world as 3-dimensional chess?  This is weird. Know how I spelled "chess" as I first wrote it? "Cheese". I'm a  Foodie so I guess that is my driving force! Thank you for your reply JG!  :)

  • Tetris is really easy and really addictive. It;s old as dirt, too so you should be able to find a freebie copy of it online.

Give it a try.  After you start playing it...you will know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. :)

Tetris is actually good for the brain...

" prolonged Tetris activity can also lead to more efficient brain activity during play. When first playing Tetris, brain function and activity increases, along with greater cerebral energy consumption, measured by glucose metabolic rate. As Tetris players become more proficient, their brains show a reduced consumption of glucose, indicating more efficient brain activity for this task. Moderate play of Tetris (half-an-hour a day for three months) boosts general cognitive functions such as "critical thinking, reasoning, language and processing" and increases cerebral cortex thickness"

Here is a detailed description of it with it;s history...It's not hard or complicated at all
