O-uknow, I love this kind of Question... Because yes, I have been reading about quantum field theory and watching YouTube...the physicists and mathematicians now speculate that chance and probability are built into the workings of the physical world.
Creation is no longer considered deterministic as it was thought in the time of Sir Isaac Newton, the universe as predictable as a great machine if only we were smart enough to see all the contingencies, nope, no more.
Thus some of them even see in particle/wave physics (the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle) a scientific basis for free will...
