Do you enjoy any particular season more because a certain species of animals starts having babies?

It sounds weird, but I look forward to baby gecko season every year. The little critters are so tiny and lively. They're fun to watch. This little guy is chilling with me tonight and he's maybe only two inches long.

In seasonal climes, most animal babies come in the spring so they can become viable before the winter. To some, that happens to be a favorite season. To others, it is not.

There are a few species that I'd love to see, and there will be periods where it is more likely to see them at a few places around the world. This won't be the same season for all of them, and as such I have no favourite I prefer over others that are connected to certain species of animals.

  • In Spring, the birdsong in the forest in the predawn hour intensifies.

I can sit through meditation in a state of bliss listening to every call.

Yes, in the springtime when the birds come and build a nest in a space under my roof.

I watch them make so many trips a day building that nest as we wait for the new babies.
