The son-in-law of a US Prez tells a Russian he wants to establish a backchannel to the Kremlin to "shield" communication. Absurd, right?

While monitoring the phone conversations of a Russian diplomat to his boss at the Kremlin US Intelligence hears the Russian report that an American Citizen connected to the President  asked to set up a backchannel and to USE RUSSIAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS at the Russian Embassy to shield the conversations from US Intelligence monitoring. As a movie plot  it seems quite ridiculous. Who would believe that a PATRIOTIC  AMERICAN CITIZEN would do that? Yet that's exactly where we are today courtesy of Jared Kushner. Espionage? Treason? Why would  Russia make available to an American citizen sophisticated Russian communication technology? What innocent purpose could there possibly be to justify that. The Russian reported to his boss that he was "taken aback" by the request. Kushner is in a lot of trouble. So far the White House is silent. Trump lawyered up awhile ago. Kushner has lawyered up.  Every day something this White House crew causes new news which is unsavory and inexplicable. So far this one seems to be the most serious. What will today bring?
