    No, Booze does not dimishish its capacity fo driving.

    And that raises another interesting question. If a car have a simple switch taking it from driven to driverless, then what about the drunk who switches to driverless mode when he hear the horn of a policecar. How to prove which mode it was in when lousy driving was observed.

    A what?  That has not been perfected.  If you see a driverless car on the road, head for the hills.  Drunk or not, it will probably mow you over.

    Actually ... they have been cleared to operate in at least a few jurisdictions.

    I remember there was a recent news story about one involved in an accident - and the other driver was at fault.
    Which brought up MY question:  In an accident involving an autonomous vehicle, how do you exchange insurance information?!?
