Is there any way that I can get my pictures back after doing a factory reset on my android phone?

I think there's apps I can download to a desktop computer with an internet connection, plug my phone into it and it will search my phone and SD card and retrieve my pictures that I lost in the factory reset.
I don't have a desktop computer anymore.
Is there any tricks to get my photos back using just my phone?
