  • power is false.

planet full of animals trying to govern each other. of course it's gonna take tactics, better known as BS, to gain power over others, and loss of self to end up being governed.

Tao. it does explain it all.

    What does this even mean?

    Lies to Power is common?

I don't know what happened to it, and I've never been able to find it again, but I remember the Onion once publishing a story (or maybe it was just the headline) which read, "Power tells Truth to shut the f*** up."

One can speak Truth to Power all one wishes to. But unless Power is willing to change, or some influential Counter-Power forces Power to change, it does very little good.

You can talk truth to power, because power knows truth. It is rare because only intellectuals can find truth. Other people could but they are too busy. If you know the truth, you can get power.

Another definition is to use the power of silence to gain power. Silence knows truth.

What Ted Cruz did to Donald Trump in that Thursday night speech was exhibiting truth to power Sharonna. You complimented him on it, remember?  So you either did so ignorantly or you recognized truth to power. Therefore this response makes no sense at all. Perhaps it makes sense to you but you are not the one who asked the question. I am. And you did not answer  the question I asked,. You asked two of your own.  Tsk tsk tsk.

Ted Cruz is a prime example of exhibiting truth to power in my opinion OS. His Thursday night speech at the Donald J. Trump Convention wherein he excoriated Trump for the way he treated Heidi Cruz and Ted's father was perfect. Whatever price he has to pay for that he is clearly willing to pay because he can't be bought. Unlike  Chris Christie and Ben Carson and all the other Trump haters who rolled over and sucked up to him and are now kissing h is a**. Mahalo for your reply.

Hi there lq. I had Ted Cruz specifically in mind when I asked this question. He was very brave excoriating Trump during his speech Thursday night when he brought up h is wife and father and how badly Trump had treated then and nailed Trump for his insults.  I suppose Cruz will have to pay a political price for not selling his integrity and honor but he seems pretty smart to me and probably knows that. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

I was thinking of what Ted Cruz did during his Thursday night speech Marguerite. He didn't roll over and kiss up to Trump. He excoriated Trump for his insulting Heidi Cruz and Ted's father. He never mentioned Trump by name once. He also never complimented nor insulted Trump by name. Nor did he endorse him. I thought that was an excellent example of truth to power. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

    Truth to power...
    Absolute truth is the power
Of life. Once that Truth is realized
The power of the universe is at your hands.
    ...truth to power...
