We hear all the time "everyone does it". Untrue. You can't KNOW that unless you know everyone. Right?

Even if "everyone does it" were true how would that justify wrongdoing for you? Everyone doing it doesn't give you license to do it too. Does it?

    I think the logic is that it sets a precedent. They tend to get quite angry when you point out that 'most people dont do it'

    Indeed. Vicious even. You cannot disagree with some people without having them go off on you. They lose it. They cannot be contradicted. It shakes the very foundation of their being. They can't agree to disagree and move on calmly. Why that is I have no idea. Thank you for your reply JakobA! Yes. I am trying to catch up a bit by going back and reading some earlier responses that I never got around to doing. A daunting task. I ask a lot of questions! :)
