A much cleaner, fresher scent than napalm.

  • 31,544,926 is the answer. Yours is just a bit in excess of the solar year of 365.2422 days.

Hi Father ALF of Time~ I must say, being Merlin, you have kept me around so long I think both our beards are the same length.  It's great to see you after all these years.  I must ask before I run off to bed, why did you event such a thing we call time?  Isn't it just a way to regulate what "time" it is to get up and go to work?
    Giggles, and hugs!
    I'm off to the bed.
Thanks for keeping us smiling!  Love, Merlin This post was edited by Merlin at August 27, 2017 5:04 AM MDT

Keeping people employed is always a good thing... but then there was digital and technology that busted that theory.  It seems like time will be of no relevance when it comes to regulation.
    David Bowie said it best:
    "Time may change me
But I can't trace time..." This post was edited by Merlin at August 27, 2017 12:03 PM MDT

Hi carbon :)! It is funny you should bring this question to our attention.   Last night, for some unbeknownst reason, Don and I were talking about how fast the Earth spins.
In case you were wondering, according to Google that would be 1000 miles. (roughly)
Taking that into consideration, you could probably apply the same formula of figuring that equation into your question.
You and Element 99 are probably cracking up because this is way out of my league but I'm still going to try :)
There are 24 hours in a complete rotation at the equator.  A steady form of measurement we all use.  1 hour has 60 minutes.
    Every minute has 60 seconds
24 times 365 equals 8760 hours X 60 = 525, 600 minutes X 60 again = OH MY!  I have to do this with pencil and paper because my calculator won't go that high in numbers!  It read OFLO!
Carbon, you've overloaded my calculator!!!  With pencil (not pen) and paper in hand, please excuse me while I figure the rest of this question out.

I think I have your answer.
    Might it be 315240000??

    5256000X60 = cancel out the 0s and add them at the end. 5256 X 6 = 31524 add 4 zeros = 315,240,000
This would be an average of 30 days per month.

    Did I get it right???

P.S. I really did figure this silly thing out with these formulas.  Right or wrong, Merlin draws the line at cheating.  I did have Don's help with some of the rough spots but I didn't use my computer and stopped using my calculator at overload. Happy! Happy!
